Welcome to the Throne Room!

Hey Kingdom Builder,

Welcome to the very first of From the Throne Room. We’re so glad you’re here! This space was created for you - the creative, the founder, the leader who knows deep down that everything you’re building has to flow from His presence first. Not from the pressure to perform, not from what everyone else is doing, but from what God is speaking to you in the quiet.

Every two weeks, we’re going to pause together, realign, and remember that our authority doesn’t come from our hustle but from our access to the King. So grab your coffee (or tea, we don’t judge), and let’s step into the throne room together.

If you’d like to get plugged it with our in to our community, feel free to check out our website or follow us @royalauthorityhq on Instagram.

When God Calls the Unlikely: Lessons from Gideon

“The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.” — Judges 6:12

To be frank, Gideon was not giving "mighty warrior" energy when the angel showed up. He was hiding in a winepress, threshing wheat in secret, trying to keep his head down while his people were oppressed by the Midianites. He was scared, unsure, and convinced he was the least likely person God could use.

Sound familiar?

Maybe you've been there too. Hiding your gifts, doubting your calling, convinced that you're not ready, not anointed enough, not connected enough, not educated enough. But here's what I love about Gideon's story: God didn't call him based on what he saw in himself. God called him based on what Heaven already saw.

When God calls you a "mighty warrior," it's not because you feel mighty. It's because He's about to show you who you've always been in Him. Gideon asked for signs — multiple times. He needed reassurance. And guess what? God gave it to him. Not because Gideon was perfect, but because God was committed to the assignment He'd placed on Gideon's life.

The same is true for you. That business idea, that creative project, that movement you've been afraid to launch — God didn't give it to you as a test to see if you'd fail. He gave it to you because He already knows you can carry it. And even when you can't see it yet, He's committed to walking you through every step.

Gideon ended up leading 300 men to defeat an army of thousands — not because of his strategy, but because he finally believed what God said about him.

Today's reminder: Your calling isn't contingent on your confidence. It's rooted in His voice.

Authority in Action: Stop Waiting for Permission

One of the biggest lessons from Gideon's story? He had to stop waiting for everything to feel right and just move when God said move. Yeah, he asked for confirmation (and that's wise), but once he got it, he acted — even when the plan didn't make sense.

Here's the thing: building in the Kingdom often means taking steps that look illogical to everyone else. It might mean saying no to opportunities that "look good" but don't align. It might mean launching before you feel 100% ready. It might mean investing in something that won't pay off for months (or years) because you know it's what God told you to do.

You don't need more credentials. You don't need more co-signs. You need to hear God clearly and move with confidence in what He's already said. That's authority.

So this week, I want you to ask yourself: What would I do if I truly believed God when He called me capable?
